Blog Tour – A New Spin – Day 9
Welcome to Day 9 of the blog tour to kick-off the release of my new book A New Spin on Drunkard’s Path that was recently published by C&T Publishing.
So how does this work? Between September 26, 2016 and October 7, 2016 there will be one-two blog posts each day. Visit each blog, leave a comment on the blog and you will have a chance to win a copy of the book (for USA winners it will be a hard copy of the book – for international winners it will be an electronic copy) AND a set of Marti Michell Drunkard’s Path templates that are used in the book!
Linzi Upton – The Quilt Quine, is married with 3 children and lives with her family, pets and hens in rural North East Scotland. She is a primary school teacher and award-winning longarm quilter. Linzi has exhibited in the UK, The Netherlands, Hungary and the USA and has had articles and projects published in various British and American magazines.
She is best known as the creator of Quilted Yurts and followed this major project with a series of metallic Norse quilts, a Quilted Coracle, and Smart Car cover. Her latest installation is a Quilted Henge comprising 12 seasonal columns featuring freestyle-piecing, spandex, leather and gemstones.
Linzi has taught patchwork & quilting workshops and given talks throughout the UK, USA and on board a cruise-ship to Norway. She has a great rapport with her students of all ages and she writes a humorous weekly blog about her quilting adventures. She also is the BERNINA Longarm Quilting Ambassador for the UK and is the author of the book Deviant Modern Machine Quilting
Nicole is a designer and quilter living in Indianapolis, IN. While she has been sewing from a young age her introduction to quilting began just a few years ago. Instantly in love with quilting, it became her favorite creative outlet and marked the beginning for Modern Handcraft.
Founded in 2011, Modern Handcraft is a quilting and sewing blog where Nicole shares design inspiration and sewing tutorials. With all of her projects the focus is always about modern designs and expression through color. In her shop she shares many one of a kind creations ranging from home goods like pillows and quilts to screen prints made in collaboration with her husband Jerome of Nomo Design.
You can also find some of Nicole’s work on the Sizzix blog where she is currently on the design team. She also has many tutorials on the Therm O Web blog and The Sewing Rabbit where she was previously a design team member. Nicole has been featured in many sewing and quilting publications including Love Sewing, Quilt Now and Love Patchwork and Quilting.
Have a look and see new and exciting things are being done with my patterns!
Make sure to visit the earlier blog posters and YES – you can still enter to win on their blog!
